I am totally unable to find census records of Minerva(Minnie) Flick and her husband Abraham F. Rauch. Family records indicate that their "People" came from Pennsylvania, but their children were born in the 1860s in Decatur Indiana. They later lived in Findlay Ohio. I would like to find their marriage or even death records to get their parents names and places of birth. I can't get any further on this and I have been trying for DAYS AND DAYS!!! I did find his death record which stated that both of them were born in Findlay OH, but this doesn't agree with family letters I have. I found their daughter's death record in Greeneville South Carolina. They had twin daughters. I have tried every possible spelling and location and can find absolutely nothing!!!! If I find something possible, it is too early and Idon't have the husband info to verify it is the right person. If I find something later that MIGHT be them, there are no twin daughters....If anyone has thoughts or suggestions, I would appreciate them.
FOLLOWILL (Indiana); SAUNDERS (Bahamas); CROUCH (Illinois) I have 3 brickwalls I'm having a very difficult time with. the first one is My great grandfather Robert Followill who is from Indiana and born about 1847/1848. The other one is Thomas Saunders from the Bahamas. His dad's name was Joseph Cyril Saunders who was lost at sea and not able to find out anymore about this family. The third one is my Great grandmother Margaret Ann Crouch who was born in Il...linois. She married my great grandfather Robert Followill. they are both buried in Vicksburg Cemetery in Oklahoma along with their youngest son Walter. From what I understand Margaret Ann Crouch Followill died at a very young age in an insane asylum. I would love to find out more about all these ancestors if you could please help me. Thank you. Anna Daniels
I'm not sure this would be considered a brick wall as I have only been researching my family history for about 6 months and have done most of that research on line and at the local library & historical society, but...
My 5th great grandfather Thomas Downs came to America & married Gulielma (Guileilmus) Gooden in Baltimore in 1738. In 1761, they headed west and settled in the Redstone settlement of Pennsylvania (which is now Fayette County) in 1768. I have found Thomas mentioned in the "History of Fayette County, Pennsylvania", but can find nothing about Gulielma (Guileimus). I would love to find something about her.
My father told me that there's a family story that one of the Downs' came to America and married an Indian. If this story is true, I assume that Gulielma (Guileilmus) was Native American, but all I have is my Dad's story and a mention of the same on another family tree.

William Thompson (born 1855 in England, died 1919 in Stutsman County, ND) married Martha E Briggs (born 1853-55 in Wisconsin, died in 1936 Douglas County, MO). I believe their daughter Martha Bess Thompson was born in MN sometime between 1880 and 1885. They also had a son Lafayette born in 1886 in MN and died in 1921 in MO. The census shows them living in Caldonia, MN during that time. I have been unable to find a marriage certificate for William & Martha E Briggs, birth certificates for Martha Bess and Lafayette as well as a record of divorce for Wm and Martha. She remarried a Henry Laurie about 1909. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am looking for the parents of Thomas James Stockett. He is sometimes referred to as James. He was born in 1800 in Maryland and died in 1846 in Gambier, OH. He married Clarissa Brown, daughter of Basil Brown and Henrietta Hammond Brown in 1825 in Maryland. They were involved in a law suit regarding the estates of William Hammond (Henrietta's father) and Basil Brown. They lost the suit. Clarissa's brother Phillip Hammond Brown also moved to Ohio right about the same time. I found Thomas James Stockett's headstone in Gambier, but have not had any luck with Clarissa's. I have found a lot of Thomas' descendants, but have a brickwall on his parents. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
Married Annie Scott in 1826 - this record I do have. This is my GGG Grandpa - he brought his family to Marion Co, MO in the 40s disappeared. A county history has a mini-bio of his son James that says John went back home to 'settle his business and died there.' I have not found record of his birth or death and don't know who is parents are (which is really where I'm frustrated).
I've run into a few other researchers interested in him... but no one that has found the records
Trying to pin down the parents of Olivia Ann Green (married name: Key), born Dec 31, 1873 in Aiken/Barnwell, S.C., married to Darling Pinkney Key and moved to Bulloch county GA, died Sep 30, 1935,. Mother may have been Mahala Green (1835-1900). Grandparents were Reuben Benjamin Green and Elizabeth Holland Green of Barnwell, SC. I have census records but only the 1880 lists Olivia prior to her marriage, and does not list her specific connection to the head of household (which I believe was her uncle). Any information on Olivia or Mahala would be appreciated.

I cannot find any record of the father's name. The same great aunt states that he was a wealthy plantation owner. I can find Stephen easily, but I can't find any trace of his parentage. Any one have any suggestions?? I have found at least 5 Stephen Bruce Kings in my family.

Myrtle Snowman: Born around 1902- found her in the 1920 census living with her grandparents- then she disappears I am sure she married as she was of age but no records of her anywhere- Her brother and sister went with her mother after remarriage and I have data on them but she is a mystery- her grandmother Laura Spencer Walker disappears after 1920 too. Myrtle was born in NY to Frederick and Isabel - the 1920 census has her living in Constantia, Oswego, New York- her family was all in the Oswego county area in 1910 but I do not find her with the grandparents or parents- it looks like Frederick & Isabel either divorced or he died in between 1900 and 1910- as in 1910 she was remarried and had relocated to Orange Co NY. Any help would be appreciated. Jackie Wright Keegan
